Atlantis Submarines Cayman Environment and Conservation Statement

The Cayman Islands are small and the environment is fragile. Fortunately, the Government of Grand Cayman recognizes this and has active Marine Conservation laws.

Atlantis Submarines are fortunate to be able to operate in one of the many Marine Parks, established and protected under the marine conservation laws.

The submarine is electric powered and emits no pollutants into the water and is therefore very environmentally friendly to the fish and corals where it operates. Recognizing the importance of the environment to our success, Corporately, the Atlantis operating license requires any environmental incidents or accidents to be reported.

This care of the environment usually has long-term pay-offs. As a long-standing operator, we have been fortunate to benefit from our care of the environment. One of our favorite dive sites has been used for over 20 years by Atlantis Submarines. Its geographical location is such that few if any other visitors ever visit this site. Conservatively, Atlantis has logged on this site alone over 20,000 dives. It is still one of the most pristine marine locations in the Cayman Islands.

For more information on the Cayman Islands marine Conservation laws visit the Cayman Islands Department Of Environment web site.
